Abstract Submission

Abstracts are invited for oral or poster presentations at the AVS Prairie Chapter Symposium on September 5th. Faculty, staff, postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate researchers — both, AVS members and non-members — are welcome to submit abstracts. Researchers of all levels may choose between an oral (15-minute presentation including time for questions) or a poster presentation.

Students are particularly encouraged to submit abstracts — the AVS Prairie Chapter Symposium is a low-stress event, ideal to help students gain more conference-presentation experience and possibly start their award collection. Students who present posters will be entered into a competition for a share of a $1,000 prize split among the three best student poster presentations (www.avs.org/Chapters/Prairie/Awards).

A non-exhaustive list of topics of interest of the AVS can be extracted from avs.org/Symposium/Technical-Program/Divisions-Groups.

Abstract Submission Guidelines:

Submit a one-page abstract to avsprairie2019@mrl.illinois.edu before the deadline of August 23rd. Include your name, contact information, co-authors (if any), and the format of your presentation (oral or poster). You will be notified of your acceptance around August 23rd.

Make sure to register for the symposium soon. The early (discounted) registration deadline is August 23 (avs.mrl.illinois.edu/registration).

Good luck and thank you for participating!
